Amy Kathleen Benninghofen grew up in the Mississippi Delta. She spent the first part of her adult life living in New York City and Los Angeles
pursuing a career as an actress--which means that she has a lot of restaurant experience. now she lives happily with her husband and two small children in Asheville, North Carolina, where she attends the Great Smokies Writing Program and is a member of the Flatiron Writers. She won an Honorable Mention Award in the 2010 Oaxaca International Literature Competition and her work has been published in Evergreen Review.---------
