Jay Hopler is the author of Green Squall (Yale UP, 2006) and the editor, with Kimberly Johnson, of Before the Door of God: An Anthology of Devotional Poetry (Yale UP, 2013).  His poetry, essays, and translations have appeared most recently, or are forthcoming, in American Poetry Review, The New Republic, and SLATE.  He is Associate Professor of English at the University of South Florida.
