Sally Houtman, originally from the United States, now makes her home in Wellington, New Zealand.
Having earned a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from Boston University, she worked for more than 20 years as an Addictions Therapist before giving up the career to raise her children. She began writing fiction and poetry in 2007. This is her first personal essay.
