Elizabeth Word Gutting is a writer living in Washington, D.C. She has an MFA in fiction from George Mason University
and is working on her first novel. She received the Dan Rudy prize in fiction from GMU and her work is forthcoming in Defying Gravity, an anthology of D.C. women writers. She was born and raised in St. Louis.
