Mike Alvarez is an MFA candidate in the Creative Writing program at Goddard College. Current projects include a memoir of his past struggle with mental illness, and a decade-long research study examining the relationship between suicide and creativity.  Mike has given readings and presented his research at many venues, including the Creativity & Madness conferences.  Over the last five years, he has lived and worked in 5 different cities.  Right now, he is trying to make up his mind between New Jersey and Massachusetts.
