JB McGeever received his MFA in Writing and Literature from Stony Brook-Southampton and was a recipient of the John Steinbeck Award, as well as the Sarah Tucker Award for Fiction.  His stories have appeared in Hampton Shorts, Confrontation, $pread Magazine, The Southampton Review, Proteus, and The East Hampton Star, with nonfiction in Newsday, The New York Times, Daily News, Family Circle Magazine, The Christian Science Monitor, The Rockaway Wave, The Brooklyn Daily Eagle, The Long Island Press, City Limits Weekly, The ACLU’s Racial Justice Report, The Steinbeck Project Commemorative Journal andThomas Beller’s anthology:Lost and Found: Stories from New York. He’s received consecutive IPPIE awards for best editorial from The Independent Press Association, as well as a full scholarship to attend The Southampton Writer’s Conference. He lives in Ditmas Park, Brooklyn.
