Marquis Bey focuses broadly on the topics of African American Studies and Gender Studies. His particular areas ofconcentration include philosophy of race and the co-constitutivity of race, gender, and sexuality. His work covers the topics of racial and gendered scripts, the historical trajectory of Black feminist thought and articulations of Black male feminist thought, and African American atheism. He has either published or will soon have published on the subjects of Black maleness from behind the racial veil, Black women abolitionist feminisms, Black nerdom, Black male feminist thought, and Toni Morrison.
