Lulu Allen Lulu has been an actor in Los Angeles for all of his adult life, appearing in over 150 television commercials as well as TV series (Reasonable Doubts, Charlie Grace) and movies (Bruce Almighty, 12). His band, Throttle Back Sparky, was a fixture on the LA rock scene for the first half of the last decade as well as appearing at South by Southwest.  But his most satisfying accomplishment, aside from his children, Zoe and Zachary, is the creation of The Elizabeth Lulu Scholarship Foundation, set up in memory of his late daughter, who succumbed to cystic fibrosis. Allen created the non-profit in the wake of his thirteen-year-old’s death and serves as its president. The foundation awards scholarship money to college bound teens with cystic fibrosis and is his way of “sending Lizzie to school every year.” His writing has been limited to music reviews for magazines like Home Theater Technology and various blogs, Dadnabbit, a pop culture guide for fathers, being one of his favorites.
