When we began this project we were all just students hoping to achieve a proficient grade in our class. However, as time progressed and as the semester wore on, this documentary became more than just an “easy A.” It has become our world, consuming all of our moments and thoughts.

I wake up at night, thinking of video editing and the numerous emails I have to send. But despite the stress, I am proud to say that the experience has been worth every minute of it.

For the last four months, MJ Whalen has welcomed us into her life, giving us a glimpse into the world of a couture fashion designer. She has shown us what it takes to prepare for a high fashion runway show.  She has stretched the limits and stepped outside the box while overcoming some of life’s greatest challenges, both as an artist, and a mother.  Her passion for life and fashion makes her a force to be reckoned with, and we were all blessed to meet and work with such a fascinating and accomplished young woman.
