Stephan Clark’s essays on Ukraine, part of a planned book called My Year of European Underwear: Dispatches from the Shadows of Ukraine’s Internet Marriage Agencies, have run in Ninth Letter, Swink and Noo. Other essays and stories of his have appeared in Salt Hill,Cincinnati Review, LA Weekly, and Barrelhouse, among other places. Stephan will spend the 2010-11 academic year teaching creative writing at Reed College in Portland, Oregon, where he hopes to finish a long-in-the-works novel set against the backdrop of the artificial flavorings industry.
