Jason T. Lewis is a graduate of the fiction program at the University of Iowa Writer’s Workshop. A native West Virginianand long-time resident of New York City, he currently lives in Iowa City, IA with his wife, daughter, and three-legged golden retriever.Jason is hard at work on his first novel, The Fourteenth Colony. His short story Demonstration appeared in the Spring/Summer 2008 issue of Yemassee. An interview Jason conducted with Chris Offutt is featured in the Fall/Winter 2008 issue of the same journal. Jason’s writing has also appeared in Tape Op. As a musician, Jason has performed all over the U.S. and in the U.K. His band Star City released two albums—a self-titled debut in 1999, and Inside The OtherDays in 2001. The release of Inside the Other Days prompted No Depression magazine to call Star City “The best alt.country band you never heard of…” In 2003, Jason recorded Happy All the Time, an EP of solo material, with former Wilco guitarist Jay Bennett as co-producer. His first full-length solo album is due to be released in 2010.
