RobinRussin Robin Russin is a Professor of Screenwriting at the University of California, Riverside, where he serves as Director of the MFA in Creative Writing and Writing for the Performing Arts. He has written, produced, consulted and directed for film, TV and the theater, including the box office hit “On Deadly Ground;” “America’s Most Wanted” on Fox; and “Vital Signs” on ABC. Most recently, he directed “The Merchant of Venice” for 3Theatre Group and the Riverside Arts Council. Robin is co-author of the books Screenplay: Writing the Picture and Naked Playwriting. His stories, articles and reviews have been appeared in Script Magazine, Verdad Magazine, ConnotationPress.com, Harvard Magazine, The Los Angeles Times, The American Oxonian, and elsewhere. A Rhodes Scholar, he received his A.B. from Harvard (Fine Arts, Magna Cum Laude with Highest Honors), and graduate degrees from Oxford University (Corpus Christi College, BA/MA, English Literature with First Class Honours), Rhode Island School of Design (MFA, Sculpture), and University of California, Los Angeles (MFA, Screenwriting).
