Our first guest editor, for our September launch issue, was Nicole Brown. Ms. Brown is amazing, and brought in some outstanding talent to her column.
Oliver de la Paz, Ilya Kaminsky, Ralph Angel, and Doug Van Gundy joined us through Nicole’s column, just to name a few.

And James Harms graciously accepted my request to guest edit our November issue. Among a host of others, Jim brought in Tomaž Šalamun, Christopher Buckley, Frank X Walker, and Mark Brazaitis.
---------
In January, Cate Marvin & Erin Belieu co-hosted the guest editor column. Kara Candito, Rebecca Lehmann, Cole Krawitz, and a grip of students from Florida State University made for a nice mix of styles and experience levels for our third guest editor hosted column.
---------
In February, the brilliant Steven Huff brought in Thom Ward, the late Allen Hoey (we miss you Allen!), among an outstanding line up of others. What a treat!
---------
And in April, Alan Michael Parker & Leily Kleinbard co-hosted one of the best guest editor columns yet. The poems of Crystal Williams knocked me out, but her audio renditions of the poems quite simply left me speechless. Included in Parker & Kleinbard’s column was the talented Arthur Sze, Elizabeth Scanlon, Afaa M. Weaver, and some of the very best poets on the continent.
---------
April also brought Robert Clark Young as our first Creative Nonfiction Guest Editor. Bob did a bang-up job and we liked him so much we asked him to take the Creative Nonfiction editor position vacated by our good friend Katie Fallon. Bob brought in four killer authors: Dave Damianakes, Stephan Clark, Andrew Tonkovich, and the very funny Michael Leone. If you haven’t gotten a chance to check out these great artists, please do!
---------
Finally, our last guest editor this year was Mihaela Moscaliuc, and how lucky we are for that! Mihaela brought us probably our most diverse collection of poets. Andrei Codrescu, Amal Al-Jubouri, Pablo Medina, Joan Larkin, and about ten other poets gave so much depth and texture to a brilliant effort.

We are so very grateful for the guest editors that have joined us this year, and we are extrememly excited to see who will join us in the coming year. Also, in addition to our outstanding guest editors, I would like to personally thank John Hoppenthaler for his help as the curator of the guest editor column. Our guest editor column is a direct reflection of John's hard work. As always, John did a terrific job.
Thank you so much Nicole, Jim, Cate & Erin, Steven, AMP & Leily, Bob, and Mihaela!
